Roadphalt colored asphalt particles
Additional anti-aging agents and brightening agents are added into colored resin particles, and aging rate decreases more than 5 times in the lab. The addition of Roadphalt high-viscosity asphalt modifier greatly enhances performance of asphalt so that pavement achieves higher requirements and longer service life. Therefore, color pavement has higher performance, better durability, more vivid color and color fastness. High and low-temperature performance is excellent, and the formula is adjusted according to high temperature and much rain for the south, low temperature in winter and large temperature difference between seasons for the north. Products of different type are used in different regions to ensure that the most suitable products are supplied to customers.
Colored resin particles with high performance are easy to be used, and the products can be added from feeder nose of batching plant to mix with hot stone. no de-barrel facility, no addition of storage tank for colored asphalt, no heating equipment of asphalt, no new pipeline and no washing line are needed. Also, there is no dust, and operation is easy and loss is almost zero. After the arrival of products, construction is conducted immediately, and it is suitable for emergent project. For example, the project should be completed in 1-2 days.
Advantages
1. No special vehicles needed for transporting liquid asphalt
Roadphalt colored resin particles are granular solid resins, and do not require special transport vehicles of liquid asphalt, especially special trucks are difficult to be allocated when pavement construction of island, rescue and peak construction term or smaller construction project can not support the cost of special vehicles, Roadphalt colored resin particles can get rid of the worries.
2. Avoid phenomenon of dust and clean environment of building site
Pigment and asphalt are mixed to form granular colored asphalt, which can avoid phenomenon of dust when pigment is added and provides a clean working environment for operators of building site.
3. Minimize waste
Roadphalt colored resin particle are solid binders and can leave out necessary equipments used to weigh and transport liquid asphalt. Raw materials need to use pipeline or other means but participate in mixing directly, so the waste can be minimized.

Mixing and transport of mixture
Construction technology of colored asphalt mixture is similar to that of common asphalt mixture, and attention should be paid to the following:
1. Prior to mixing, the mixing tanks in the mixing station are washed with hot aggregates several times cleanly.
2. The property of raw materials should be stable so that mix proportion of production target can be close to that of design target greatly.
3. Temperature of aggregates is controlled at 180℃-190℃.
4. Colored resin particles are packed in 25kg/bag. Pre-calculate the amount of colored resin particles for a jar of mixture before using and open package in advance. After aggregates are put into mixing tank, colored resin particles are added directly. As colored resin particles have dissolution process in the mixing tank, 60s is suggested to be mixing time, and actual mixing time is determined by appearance of asphalt mixture. Asphalt should have performances of even coverage, no gray particle, uniform color, no agglomerate, and no isolation phenomena of particles. The quality can meet construction requirements.
5. Vehicles and coverings for transporting mixture should be cleaned in advance.
6. The cooling rate of mixture prepared by colored asphalt particles is bigger than that of common asphalt mixture, so hot insulation should be paid attention to and long-distance transport should be avoided, especially in winter.
Mixture paving
1. The paving processes of both colored asphalt mixture and conventional asphalt mixture are basically the same.
2. The paver should be cleaned, especially screed should be cleaned with solvent or colored asphalt mixing is paved on the substrate pavement until there are no streaks from the substrate to the superstratum.
When paving begins, production, transport, paving and rolling performance of mixture should be considered to ensure continuous paving and full-size shape for keeping color consistent, granule uniform and beautiful.
Compaction molding of mixture
1. Water in the roller tank should be replaced, and rust should be cleaned. Roller should be stopped on the mat so that it does not touch the substrate of black asphalt, and rolls on directly from wooden pad to colored mixture. Any tools touched with mixture in the rolling process should be cleaned.
2. Rolling compaction combination: the same with conventional permeable asphalt mixture
3. Rolling strength: compaction should be guaranteed on the premise of no crushed stone. Overcompaction should be avoided, or colored effect is affected if stone is crushed.
4. After rolling starts, water at the surface is considered, manual operation, paving and manual feeding must be stopped, or it is difficult for substrate of mixture and artificial feeding to bond together. This should be emphasized by construction staff in advance.
Note: traffic is opened after rolling is over and temperature is cooled to room temperature.
